AUD$1600 COMPLETE Build

Ok, so this is my very first build which I hope to be able to buy and make in the next 6-8 months. I would have liked to spend a little less, so feel free to point out any clear savings I can make, any bottlenecking, or any incompatibility with parts etc.

Case - Im not sure about that one, might want to look it up.

RAM - See if you could get some kingston or g.skill

Op drive - fine

Mouse - dunno

Mousepad - dunno

Keyboard- Mechanical?

Monitior - should be fine

PSU - Fine if thats all you can afford.

CPU cooler - you will want to change that.

HDD - Fine, could go with WD

GPU - Its nice, but 7970 has better bang for buck (670 has cuda though, so your choice0

Mobo - good choice, but in 6 months the r3.0 will be selling (its already benn released)

CPU - good choice

Hope that helps

looks good, but my opinnion on the gpu, if you gonne do mainley gaming, then better go with a 7950 or 7970 cause they just perform better. for 439 dollar you can get a 7970.

Yea does help a bit. with the cooler, I wasn't planning on overclocking, at least not soon after buying it, and I'm told without OC stock cooler is even, but i figured it couldn't hurt to get something a little better.

where did you find information about the R3.0? I'm quite set on an nvidia graphics card, the physX is a real seller for me and I would be suprised if there aren't more games released with it in the near future.

As far as I can tell, a mechanical keyboard just isn't worth it, at least not for me yet. i do want to try out some mouses but the g300 seems pretty solid with a good set of features. I also can't really see much reason to go with a different PSU?

as for the HDD, I have a seagate portable 1.5, I'm very happy with it and although everyone is saying go with WD, seagate has been good and I have confidence that the HDD will be absolutely fine.

about the stock cooler: i use the stock cooler, and  my cpu with turbo on auto runs at 4.1/4.2 ghz. it cooles fine, if you have a good airflow in the case. but wenn you gonne play games, then the cooler gets noisie, and thats annoying, but i never went over 45 degrees. on full load. with prime95.

an aftermarket cooler will probably do better, or will be more silent.

Yea, sound does come into it a bit for me, I think just in general a cheap AM cooler is going to be the way to go, I don't really have the cash or the know-how for expensive aftermarket cooling systems/water cooling.

Edit:

Just saw i missed the case (that site is fucking retarded), you can switch your choise for mouse and keyboard with mine, which will give you cash for the case

mm, you essentially changed my whole build.
slightly changed (changed the cp cooler):

just with the mouse. its a claw grip stlye not plam grip, from memory. i had one similar and i am a palm grip user,so i disliked it

Well zour money, your thing...

Buying in todays time with that budget just 1920x1080 monitor (21,5" !!!) is a waste of money, with my build you got much, much better monitor, better gpu, better psu etc..

But like i said its your thing...

You could just go with a hyper 212, not to much more expensive, good quality and you will probs change your mind about overclocking in the future.

check my update haha :) hyper 212
