ATX Z97 Mobo suggestions

Basically, I'm having a hard time deciding which would fit my new build best for under $200.

Currently the Asus Z97-PRO seems pretty attractive aesthetically and feature wise but I feel like there might be better options.

So I'm just looking to see if there's anything better or if I'm on the right track.

I bought two ROG Hero VII's and received both of them DOA. Called ASUS to verify my testing methodology and they confirmed it was probably a bad batch sent to newegg. After spending nearly $500 and having to wait 2 weeks for newegg to refund me, plus I spent mopney on shipping, I think I'm good on ASUS for a little while. Try again next time!

Anwyway, I went with the ASRock Z97 Extreme6. It is the only board to offer Ultra M.2, and seeing as storage solutions was kind of the point of Z97, I think it is the best reasonably priced board out there. I plugged it up, booted, no issues!

Plus Anandtech did an article highlighting Ultra M.2....and it is enticing to say the least.

Asus Z97 pro is a good choice in my opinnion.

I like ASUS motherboards, and the PRO appears to be well rounded.

MSI have some good motherboards that are competitively priced against that particular board.
