ATI 5000 series first sighting

Rumours are spreading out about the concept and technical specs of the new radeon series.

Let's take a look:

HD 5450 -> 640 SP + 16 TMUs (1 master chip)

HD 5650 -> 1280 SP + 32 TMUs (1 master chip + 1 slave)

HD 5670 -> 1920 SP + 48 TMUs (1 master chip + 2 slaves)

HD 5850 -> 2560 SP + 64 TMUs (1 master chip + 3 slaves)

HD 5870 -> 3200 SP + 80 TMUs (1 master chip + 4 slaves)

This specs are far beyond any graphic application needs in game or graphic computing industries... But in a world were looking ahead is the key to guarantee your stability and innovative status, AMD/ATI might be searching for a higher ground.

*cough*moore'slaw*cough*

Although there is evidence of a new series development, the information is unofficial, so it might be based in speculation and suppositions.

I'm sorry but I'm not believing either of these :P The ATi Chart looks too shabby, as it looks like more of a fan concept (Well, it probably is.) Also as for the nVidia, I have to go with R.Paes and say that I don't necessarily trust that site, I will, however though wait for an official announcement from the nVidia (And ATi) newsletters.

As R.Paes also believes I'm sure, I'm not gonna believe it until it's from the actual companies. :P

While they are impressive, the GTX300 one with GPU-Z Open almost leads me to believe that it's just edited. It looks just more like a overclocked card that's already out with just some numbers tweaked within the program, which can be done.
