Asus Zenith Extreme Alpha X399 - Strange Grouping?

Hi,

i have put some cards into my PCIE slots, including my primary 2080ti in slot 1 and GR710 into slot 3.
For some reason i don’t see my primary graphic cards in any iommu groups. It also does not show up in my bios, not sure if those things are connected.
Card works perfect under windows and under linux, so wtf?

Is this Asus issue ?

Edit: saw you posted in that thread! Sorry. Are you sure you have “Enumerate all IOMMU in IVR” set to enabled?

well some other person in overclockers net have graphic card in slot one showing up in slot 1, so could it be nvidia fw or asus bios which is causing issues ?

it shows on the device list, just not in iommu groups… i checked unraid and ubuntu 19 there is same behavior there.

Asus may have toyed with the IOMMU groups. Im not an expert in this however Wendell is the gold standard on our forum when it comes to this so you might oughtta see if he can help

Well you can always give an @wendell to wendell,
that way he will get a notification, and when he has time he might reply.

It could be a bios related issue however.
You could check if Asus has any bios updates released recently.
Check if any of them has any updates on the iommu groupings or Ageesa?

Iommu is on auto not on. Auto is a split iommu function due to windows 10 installer bugs.

Please ensure iommu is set to on/enabled. This is something I covered in the motherboard review :wink:
