Here is the Portal article

Wonder if Linux and Windows 10 can be put on it.

Pretty neat getting Windows 7 on it.

Looks to be running through a KVM under Linux to begin with. So yeah Linux looks to be a requirement for this.

Thus is super interesting, I want so much more of this.

This phone is super tempting as a hacking plaything.

I know, I had said in one of the tek episodes comments that if this became a viable thing I will get this phone. It is now on my tech acquisition list in a serious way. I hope now that it has been proof of concepted that serious development will go into full standalone installs.

I would love this just for a toy, but if it can be made useful and useable in the same way android is now that would be unbelieveavlly tempting just as a business phone to have access to desktop software.

I wonder if Asus will look at this and take it up as a feature with some company development behind it.

Sailfish (Mobile linux distro) is getting x86 port so I am very intrigued by what can be done with this phone.

Oh that reminds me, this should be interesting @wendell you have one of these, any chance of taking a poke round and maybe a video?

Edit: Ten Internet points for the first video of this phone running doom under Linux natively.
