Can you guys help? This has happened to me twice now! The motherboard won't display the right INPUT VOLTAGE!
It's always displaying 1.712 instead of 1.912, though in the manual settings, it is set to 1.9v.
I took out the cmos the first time and it fixed the input voltage and started displaying the right numbers.
Now I tried it again, but it doesn't work anymore.
I'm pretty sure the motherboard is giving the 1.9v for the input voltage since I haven't experienced any crashes from my CPU overclock, but it just keeps displaying the wrong numbers.
Z87 pro and i5 4670k
Please help..
Latest bios version?
Also sure 1.9v is okay for your CPU? I thought 1.9 was only okay for haswell-e chips.
Oh I forgot to mention, I'm talking about the "Input Voltage" - the CPU cores is at 1.32v manual.
Yeah I know what input voltage is, its just the voltage that the motherboard feeds the CPU so it can regulate it itself.
That's why the phases and stuff on haswell boards look so wimpy compared to other sockets, because they can tolerate high ripple and need less amps for the same power draw.
I'm running my 5820k at 1.9v input voltage, but not sure if its safe for none 2011 parts.
-Edit, 1.9 is totally fine for a mainstream cpu-
Yes I'm using the latest and last bios for the Z87 Pro.
Seems like that motherboard has issues with input voltage settings.
