So I've looked on the RAM compatibility page for this board and couldn't find this on the list, however the Ripjaw-Z series was, but is $20 more. I decided to look at the ASRock Z87 Extreme 4 and found the same issue. Is there a problem with dual channel 16GB RAM or something?
Well the reason why those ramms are not in the list, is because they are 2133 mhz running at 1.6V. intel recommends ramm till 1.5 V But most motherboards contain a XMP feuture to set higher ram clock speeds. but if you install those ram´s at stock they will probaby run at 1600 or 1866mhz. whenn you not set the xmp profile in the bios.
but to your question are those ram´s compatible, yes they are. you only have to set the XMP profile feuture in the bios. and set them to 2133mhz by hand.
By the way you can also look at G-skill sniper 2x8 1866mhz ram, those sticks do run at 1.5 V.
That 1.6V doesn't matter. At all. Whatsoever.
It will work perfectly fine, and probably will even work at 1.5V, if it doesn't.
