In this video we're going to take a quick look at the Asus Z170 Deluxe -- a mainstream motherboard packed with features for the new skylake platform. We're going to take a look at overclocking and one-click optimization in a future video.
Out-of-the-box 5 way optimization, U.2 (m.2 + PCIe over MiniSAS) support and more.
Yes - I would very much like to see how the new platform handles GPU Pass Through. It is epic on Socket 2011 so far. Though I mostly got fed up with Arch Linux. I'll probably set it up again though.
ASUS motherboards are the best. They always outdue themselves, some complain about the price but IMHO the value is there. I love the boot into UEFI button and the keyboard macro software. Also the addition of a expansion card for an extra m.2.
Are we gonna get a skylake build with this mobo?!? Or with the new ASRock Z170?
Great review Wendell thanks. Future rich motherboard, with decent quality components as usual. 16+4+2 powerphases digi vrm, 5k sollid caps. Hope to find more detailed information about the vreg design soon. But so far it looks impressive.
i suppose that the "programable key short cut" feuture, is the same as the keybot function we allready saw on the Z97 rog boards. With some new added functionality´s to it.
Color scheme is not my taste, but thats ofc personal. Looking forward to see the Linux workstation video, with virtualization and pass trough.
I'm going to take this opportunity to ask a potentially stupid question: Aside from ROG and TUF-line products, Deluxe is the creme-de-la-creme, right? Then comes Pro, Evo, Plus, A, E, and K?
I dont think that there will be an EVO board, since they only used that term for AM3+ boards But Asus will probably come with a Z170 WS.
Next to that, there is also the pro gaming line. Z170 pro gaming, which is basicly a mainstream mobo with supreme FX audio onboard, and black/red color theme
Yes Wendell please make a linux workstation video with gpu passtrgough. Actually if you could make more workstation, server, business or crazy recovery videos it would be awesome!
