Asus X-99 Deluxe II and Linux + VT-D

Looking to find out if this second version is as good as the first. Wendell made a video on his hardware passthrough linux build using the original version and had good things to say about its iommu layout. Thinking about pairing it with a 6850k from the broadwell-e refresh set. Seems like this board is a second version of the first released just for those cpus and I was hoping to find out if its lost anything since the first.

Any advice? Really want a x99 workstation with hardware passthrough. Would prefer it to be as easy as possible.

I think it should work fine.
The board definitely supports VT-d.
Basicly the old Deluxe and the new Deluxe II are basicly pretty much the same.
The Deluxe II only has a couple of extra feutures and support for Broadwell-E cpu´s out of the box.

Not sure if @wendell has allready played abit with virtualization and pci-e,
passtrough on these new Asus X99 Broadwell-E refresh boards, he recently review'd.
