Asus wrx90 issues, bios updates MIA

hey guys, just finished a fresh build:
7995wx
asus wrx90e sage
kingston fury renegade pro 256gb 6000 expo
rtx 4090
bequiet! dark power 13 pro 1300w

and im honestly surprised that Wendell’s quote of “most definitely you will have a newer than 404v bios” in asus mobo review video didnt hold up (i mean he did leave the most definitely so i guess it did)
anyway, latest bios is still 404 and it’s like just… really?

had a bunch of issues with error codes on boot: monitor connected through l1techs displayport kvm didnt work on first boot also keyboard had to be plugged in directly, and if i turn on pbo/autoOC then it just crashes on cinebench r23 immediately and i have to clear CMOS to boot back, otherwise it’s 0d error. I spend whole day yesterday battling through it, tried without expo - same results. So for now im just on stock cpu settings and 6000 expo and had "just"one BSOD in Unreal yesterday…

for crashes I have a suspicion that’s it’s probably related to power, might try better surge protection + seasonic prime psu later but for now I’m stuck with bequiet

Hope bios update comes soon because I’m considering actually trying asrock mobo otherwise

After all the issues with the Asus board why didn’t you get the Asrock? At least they care a bit more then Asus. Oh and good luck sending it for Rma. They are very shady

yeah exactly, honestly reason is I missed that there was no bios updates, hope they come soon, might ask asus support about it today

I will try silverstone aio later instead of big noctua as I am a bit suspecting the downward gravity pressure / vibration on the CPU slot because literally after tilting case a bit on the side (I thought PSU maybe doesn’t have enough air at the bottom or something) it didnt crash for a very long time (until I tried PBO), so quite confused honestly.

Update!!

Alriiight… so looks like i figured out my power problem and now PBO is pulling 500W without a crash.

It has EVERYTHING to do with this picture from mobo manual

after checking my PSU layout I noticed that I was putting PCIE 8-pin into PCIE 8P connectors and turns out that requires single rail psu! So after checking my bequiet I found that for that I need to put pins into “overclock” which switches it to a single rail.

honestly thought its something else, on bequiet dark power 13 pro CPU connectors are 8P not 12V (i guess its same thing tho) and mobo comes with two CPU 8P-Pin to PCIe 8P-Pin power cables

so yeah! the more I know.
@KittyNour maybe you check this too? It’s not usual desktop pc power connections.

One of the power headers is specifically for overclock . If it doesn’t work using just one I’d send it back. My MB has zero issues from the start outside of raid configuration for expansion card (still haven’t figured out lmao )
