UD5H for value, and Realibility, as it has just as many durable features as the sabertooth, or save some money and get a UD3H.
Don't spend more than $200 on a Z77 motherboard. The Gigabyte UD5H is a fantastic board, and is reasonably priced for a Z77 board.
Ud5, sabertooth is overpriced imo
Msi Z77 mpower ☺ my personal favorite, but comparrison about the gigabyte or the sabbertooth, then the gigabyte cause of the price..
I can get the sabertooth for cheaper? what then? (:
In fact here in Slovenia are both around 214€ (279,06$-because of all taxes (corruptive politicians :) ))
its not much about price, I'm more concerned about the quality
haha oke then the Asus or the msi z77 mpower.
but i think both the asus or the gigabyte will be fine, some people would stay with the gigabyte i personaly not, cause i had bad experiance with GB boards in the past, that i personaly not wanne buy one anymore :) i personaly prefer msi or asus cause i had the best experiance with thease brands.. and i heared evga is also a good brand.
Never had a bad experience with my Z77 Sabertooth. If you can get it for cheaper, you definitely should. The Gigabyte will do things just as well (or should, anyways), I don't have personal experience with it so I cannot speak for the overclocking features or ability of that board. But if you want it, it's definitely up to spec and may even have some features you like more than the Z77 Sabertooth.
The Sabertooth has superior components, as well as 5 year warranty, instead of 3 years. So if you want better reliability I think the Sabertooth is a better buy.
There is a huge thread on OCN about this motherboard, it has all the information you will ever need:

on intel platforms as i said before i personaly prefer Asus or Msi.
on the Z77 platform, i personaly prefer the Msi z77 Mpower, or indeed the sabbertooth, but that board cost a bit more, normaly.
Im not experienced with intel platforms nor have i ever used asus boards, but i can speak for gigabyte boards as i own one for my 8350 (i own a ga-990fxa-ud3). The quality is outstanding and i have my cpu oc'd to 4.7 right now without a problem. Gigabyte makes good boards, but asus does as well, from what ive heard.
The sabertooth color scheme is horrid, though.
Z77 Sabertooth is black on tan, but with components installed (e.g. video card & RAM), you won't see the tan. Thermal armor is pretty sleek, I must say...
if your going to go over the top like i did get the asus maximus v formula, fantastic motherboard i must say, you actually get what you pay for in the end
asus becuase they have a better bois
I do agree that ASUS UEFI Bios is better than Gigabyte's. But somewhat personal opinion too.
I used both Gigabyte and Asus motherboards before, never had any problems with them. However I like the Asus ones better, their utility software and bios was nice to me.
Asus has better software support, especially for linux. Gigabyte basically tells GNU/Linux users to go fuck themselves or buy Windows. Asus has very good support for GNU/Linux, in fact on most Asus boards, you don't need drivers, everything is already in the kernel.
However, reliability-wise I've been having more luck with Gigabyte boards in the last 3 years or so than with Asus, I've had a reasonable amount of RMA with Asus boards, and almost none with Gigabyte. I do like Asus stuff better though in general, I think Asus rocks, just that I haven't had much luck with their mobos.
What I definitely don't like about the Sabertooth is the thermal armor, it sucks bigtime.
Other than that, I think both boards are really good boards, both are definitely worth recommending.
My Gigabyte died and never run may ram at full speed, My asus no problems
1 - Thermal Armour is removable.
2 - I don't really see what "sucks" so much about it.
they are both good but imo i perfer asus over gigabyte
