Hi,
I have a small problem and wondering if any one can guide me through the proper procedures of cloning my HDD to my new SSD.
First I have the new Asus UX32VD-71 zenbook and I am tring to clone the hard drive with an SSD to swap it out, with no luck. I am using the Apricorn EZ GiG IV usb 3.0 software and I have gone through the cloning procces but when I install the SSD it want BOOT into windows 7.
When I start to run the cloning software it asks to choose the source drive and distination drive but when it comes up to the source drive it shows both 500gb Hatachi and the 32gb ssd. so I highlight the 500gb and 240 ssd destination drive.
should the 32gb ssd be showing up for a source drive and should I try to clone this as well to the new 240gb SSD along with the 500gb? Is there somthing I have to do after I clone the drive.

Looking at the specs, the 32GB is a cache drive built into the harddrive. so no, don't clone it. I've never used that software before but it looks remarkably similar to HDClone as far as interface is concerned. you might try using HDClone or possibly Clonezilla. Those are the two I use.
When you try to boot using the SSD what exactly is happening(error screens, bluescreens, etc.)? can you boot into your HDD, plug in your SSD and confirm all the files are indeed cloned over?
I tride the HDclone free software but that took like almost 5 hrs of slow download and the hdd did clone on to the ssd but seem to be slow booting up and not as fast as the original hdd so back to square one. also download and tried acronis true image 2012 trial and that would not work because I have used the apricorn ez gig software and now when I try to unistall I run into unbootable and have to run in restore and so it wont uninstall the acronis software it puts the software back. so I have no idea what is going on.
I will tell you that the apricorn software is crap and according to the company it is as easy as 1 2 3 to clone, tried about a dozen times. each time I swapped it out it would not boot as there was nothing on the ssd and the software would say completed.
