Asus Strix RX 580 (or 480, prolly same cooler) owners, anyone removed shroud?

As in title, looking at getting a Strix RX 580 for the new build...curious if any owners of the 580 or 480 Strix (since they look like the same cooler) have removed the shroud to paint it yet.

I would like to paint the lions share of that shroud white and am just curious if it's pretty easy to get off the Asus cards without removing the whole heatsink. I would prefer to avoid having to completely dismount the entire heatsink.

Edit Nvm the 480 part. 480 and 580 definitely have different coolers upon closer inspection.

I don't own ASUS, but my card has a shroud that comes off without interfering with the heatsink.

It looks like it should, but I'll be honest it's been a long time since I've painted a card. Last time I did it I had to remove everything lol.

Also...just looked and the 580 cooler is definitely different now that I'm looking at them side by side on newegg...looks probably 1/2" taller. 580 looks like it borders on being a 3 slot card almost. Asus Strix RX580
