I've been looking all over and found these two motherboards and wanted to know which one will get more out of these specs, and yes, this is my first time building a computer so if there are any more suggestions of any parts, it would be preciated:
CPU: i5-3570k
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660ti
PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 650W
HDD: 500GB SAMSUNG Spinpoint
Case:COOLER MASTER Storm Enforcer
I don't plan to overclock.
You can't use an x79 motherboard with a socket 1155 CPU. You need the z77. Also, don't get the K version of that CPU if you don't plan to overclock. Give us your budget, country, and primary uses for the computer for the best possible build within your budget.
Budget is about 1200, United States, and its gonna be a gaming build~ :D
The only Sabertooth motherboard you'd be able to use is the Z77, as the X79 does not support Socket 1155 CPUs. It's made for much larger Socket 2011 CPUs. Unless you plan on switching the CPU, which I wouldn't advise unless you're doing some serious video rendering and editing, stick with the Z77 motherboard.
As it's very reliable as well?
I have the sabertooth z77 and I love it! Great for workstations as well as gaming. Keeps cool and allows you to monitor your temps. I highly recommend it. Its also great for overclocking eventhough most prefer other boards for that. Even if you dont plan to overclock you can always do the easy button OC in the bios and have it run your cpu at 4.2-4.3ghz so you get extra performance for you games.
