ASUS R7 260X constantly crashing?

I purchased a ASUS R7 260X (http://tinyurl.com/o8s59mk) and it is constantly crashing on some games. I have the most recent 14.4 drivers from AMD and for some reason, I can't get half my Steam collection to run on it. ASUS has drivers on their site, but they are 13.20 drivers. I tried uninstalling the 14.4 drivers and installing ASUS's drivers, but the WHOLE system crashes or will not uninstall. I'm running an AMD A10-7850K in this system as well, so I don't know if there is a way to run 14.4 on the CPU and the 13.20 on the GPU..

Form what i have read on that card you need to underclock the card some in Catalyst control overdrive to make the card stable.

I've seen that on some reviews, but no one saying how much. Any clue how much of an underclock?

Try like 1100mhz and if that does not work lower it a little more to like 1050.  If one of those works you can just leave it there and you shouldn't have any problems.

If you want to run stock or overclock you are going to need to use a program to add voltage.  I think Asus has one you can use or you can try MSI afterburner.

How do I underclock the GPU? What software do you think would allow me to do this?

Ton's of software is available to do that.

ASUS GPU Tweak, MSI Afterburner, EVGA PrecisionX. AMD Catalyst Control. Take your pick.

Tried ASUS, MSI, and the AMD and none of them will let me lower the core clock under 1188

What do you mean? You just slide the bar down and hit apply. It should work.

If that doesn't work you could always raise the voltage a little bit until it becomes stable at 1188. Just watch your thermals.

I mean the slider on each program is at the far left and will not allow me to go below 1188. Even tried to manually type in the number. I'll try raising the voltage.

The only way to fix it is to wait for stable drivers. I'd just return the card and get something else instead. Waste of time imo. You can get a 750ti for around the same price.

Yeah or the R7 265. Its very fast. It is about the same price as the 750Ti maybe $10 more and faster 9/10.

Its past the 30 day return window for Newegg. Trying to sell it on eBay for $100. I've had it barely two months. I'm thinking about getting the Sapphire or MSI R7 260x or saving a little more and getting a R9 270x. I literally just pulled the ASUS card out of my little rig and I'll just have to use the Kaveri graphics for now.
