ASUS Pro WS W680M-ACE SE post without a GPU and an F variant CPU

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the ASUS Pro WS W680M-ACE SE board will post without a GPU and while using an F variant CPU, such as the i3 12100F? I ask because I am considering using the board to build an opnsense box (a la Son of the Forbidden Router video) that will need no video out.

That board has an AST 2600 BMC onboard, so yes it should post fine with an F CPU - it’ll use the VGA card on the BMC for video, via the VGA port.

If I may hijack the thread with a follow up question - does anybody know if this board supporst SR-IOV? I too am thinking about a “son of the forbidden router” style build but may need SR-IOV for what I have in mind…

Ahhh I apologize, I posted too hastily. Looking at the BIOS manual, it looks like SR-IOV is indeed supported!
