I stumbled over a decent deal for an ASUS Prime z690M PLUS D4, I7-12700K, and 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz RAM combo.
I am currently on a Asus Strix B360-i gaming with a 9700K, 32GB RAM, and a Geforce RTX2080TI FE (The GFX will be reused in the new build).
And since the itch to build a new system is almost always there, I was looking into a fairly cheap new build that could bridge the gap until the next generation AMD CPU’s for the AM5 platform arrive, since I plan to skip the first generation of AM5, and the I7-12700K seems to outperform the AM Ryzen 5900X.
However, I can for the life of me not find a decent review of this board.
Wendell did a video of the board a year ago, and hinted to some heat issues on the back of the board, and an upcoming build video with this board.
However, it seems that this video was not made (at least I can’t find it )
So in essence, does anyone have a build with this motherboard/CPU, and what are the good, and the bad?
As always, thank you in advance for any feedback
