Asus p8z77-v lx sli

Does it work?  I have a GTX 760 BTW.  Also my first post!  AYAYAYAYAY!!!

Yes that board is SLI compatible

No,

That motherboard only support crosfire

Grtz Angel ☺

It's listed as Sli and Crossfire on the Asus website: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LK/

Wrong board.

I'm sure it will if it has two 2.0 PCIE slots. I have the P8Z77-V pro variant and it seems to handle xfire alright. It looks to be like the same board I have but with less sata ports. I would be very surprised if it didn't. Asus preens itself on this kind of usability.

the Asus P8-Z77V-LX does not support SLi

this board has 2 pci-e slots, slot one is X16 slot two is X4.

Sli does NOT work on a X4 slot

Grtz Angel ☺

Jon666 your board and OP's board are completely different beasts.

OP your board supports xfire only, as stated by MysteryAngel above, & on the products webpage. The board doesnt meet the SLI minimum requirements (PCIE lane speed wise) and even if it did since nvidia lease out the code that enables SLI, on low end board like this it wouldve pushed the price up and out of the market region is was target to.

I thought northbridge didn't matter as much wiht newer intels? Isn't this how xfire/sli is enabled? maybe not, I'll have to look it up again. My assumption was Z77 boards had the same capabilities even if compainies didn't test and certify on them.
