Asus P8P67 Deluxe - USB Issues

I know the board is a few generations old, but I've scoured forums and tech support posts and come up with not.

So here is the first issue: USB 3.0 Ports run at the same speed as my regular USB 2.0 Ports. I get max 28MBps transfer rates with my ADATA S102 USB stick. Using my brother's ASRock Z77 Extreme4, it transfers at ~70MBps. I use my USB sticks quite a lot and I find this super annoying.

I have updated the drivers to Renesas(NEC) USB3.0 Controller Driver V2.1.39.0 and updated the firmware to Version 4015 and still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

Asus lists the latest bios as 3602. Are you running that? What do you mean by firmware 4015?

That's the BIOS version. I am running Firmware 4015 for the NEC chip. Bios 2302 on the MB. Not a big fan of reflashing my mb bios as I almost bricked my system during my last flash

I understand your stance on flashing the bios but the newest version of the bios lists usb improvements. So if you wish to solve this issue you might need to flash the latest bios.
