Asus motherboard M5a99fx question. and sabertooth

Will this motherboard http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20

be good for overclocking, im only going to use 1 GPU and thats it, will it be good for 4-5 years of upgrading?

What will be difference between sabertooth 990fxa r2.0 and this?

If you are getting a whole new system, I would suggest Haswell. Great features and has upgrade potential later on with the Haswell refresh and Broadwell.

That said, M5a99fx is still a good board.

Well the Asus sabertooth 990FX R2.0 is overall a better board, it has more feutures, but also a better powerphase 8+2. on this board you can realy get high overclocks.

The M5A99Fx pro R2.0 is also not a bad board, it has 6+2 powerphase and digi vrm, still capable to oc the FX8350 to 4.8 ghz. with a decent cpu cooler, so the M5A99FX pro is a good board for some standard overclocking, if you prefer extremer overclockings, then pickup the sabertooth.

is the phanteks 12 DX a decent cooler for a 4.6ghz? no overheating?

also can the m5a99fx pro can it run nvidia gtx 780 or 760?, like will this motherboard be good for gpu upgrading next 4-5years?

hi

Yes it would be able to run a 780 or 770 on it. It would be good for upgrading for the next 2-3 years. Just remember most technology is outdated within 6 months or so.

the phanteks 12DX is a decent cpu cooler, i think it should be capable to do a 4.6ghz oc, but it will be very loud i suppose.

ok so it will be good for upgrading gpus next 4-5years?

Yes it should be unless gpus start to use more bandwidth than pcie 2.0 can handle. But other than that you should be fine.

do u think 4.0 graphics card can be put into pcie 2.0 motherboard
