You get one game free with the 670, or 3 AAA titles with the 7970. I personally have 2 7970's and can definitely recommend the gpu!

In all of Linus' game benchmarking the 7970 has won for like the past 6 months.

7970. No brainer. It competes with the 680, so...you're basically getting a 680 for less money.

Quick note:

Some reviewers are saying the XFX Black Edition 7970 has its voltage locked, so that'll limit your overclocking.  Nevertheless, the 7970 is still faster.

So what would the tek recomend for an overclockable 7970?!

And in addition AMD's idle consumption is where it should be: 1-2 watt idle for top gpu's. Nvidia hovers around 15 watts, how is this even possible? Regretting going 670 because of this. Idle consumption is more important than full load because you are more not gaming then gaming(most people).

MSI Twin Frozr 7970, not the Lightning edition. If you can afford it, the Lightning is fantastic - probably the best one out there, but you can't justify the price in comparison.
