Asus crosshair vi hero shared pci slot

Hi i have the crosshair vi hero and a 3700x i was wondering if someone could help me please

I am trying to use a PCIe USB 3.0 card in slot PCIe 2.0 x1_1 slot which shares bandwidth with PCIe 2.0 x4_3 slot that has my nvme adapter in it but the problem is that the USB 3.0 card only works if i unplug the nvme adapter.

I was wondering if it is possible to use both by changing something in the bios or will i just have to pick one or the other?

Without reading the manual it probably doesnt share in the way you are expecting its probably an either or type of deal.

This is most likely the case
