It's still an issue, To boot you have to manually step up the frequency so that the training works and there is a big gap in training due to AMD passed 3200, basically anything other than 3200, 3466 and 3600+ can work but anything between those values won't work within a margin or error.
To boot 3200 you need to start with 2666, then reboot into bios, 2933, reboot into bios then 3200. And basically do that every time you start your system cold. But hopefully there is a bios that fixes this issue around the corner
