Why are you under NDA when the rest of the tech youtubers have already released the full tests on the 9900k? In any case it’s a ridiculous CPU - just 8 cores and it sucks more power than a Threadripper 16 core. And if you absolutely want to game, the 8700k is just as good and a lot cheaper. I can’t really understand who’d want it, except for bragging rights.

Yep was a bit late with this, NBD all good.

Intel has the dubios honor of competing with itself I agree.

If you are looking for the “best” then sure, Intel can only compete with itself. That’s as long as you define “best” to be utterly fastest CPU without thinking about value proposition. But you start factoring in motherboard cost (you ain’t getting a 135 dollar motherboard for the 9900k) of about 250 to 300 that’s 850 bucks before adding in well, anything. So best value… oh fuck no, best at gaming, yes. Now its upto a person to figure out do they want to dump the nearly 2500 to 3K necessary (9900k+overclocking motherboard+cooler+2080Ti build) on this platform to show off their e-peen.

Interesting that there’s a regression in terms of IOMMU groups vs Z370. Might make more sense in terms of IOMMU to get a top end Z370 board for now if you desperately need LGA1151 passthrough right now.

Hoping this will be fixed with subsequent BIOS updates.
