Asrock z170 Pro4

Hello all,
So I was wondering where I could get some software that could check the CPU temperatures while my computer is running. I was hoping that I could maybe get it from Asrock or Intel.

Suggestions are always welcome.

That is not enough information to give you any advice.

I moved your topic to the hardware section.

You had it in "Sofware web based"

No I had it under software/operating system Windows because I am running that and I need to install software.

Have you tried the ASRock Extreme tuner?

Is this it? http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/ASRock-eXtreme-Tuner.shtml

I like to get it from the download section on the ASRock site, but that is it, yes.

Something like open hardware monitor would also work.

Ya I don't have the right platform. So no eXtreme tuner. :(

There is HWmonitor and HWinfo, since the are both free you can check out both and delete what you dont like.
Aida64 can do a torture test that will show temps during the test.
Asrock extreme tuner has the advantage that cpu temp is actually labeled cpu temp instead of CPUTIN or some other weird name.

Can I control the fan speeds with HWmonitor?

Nope....maybe speedtest, but I have not yet tried it for controlling fans. it also shows cpu temp.
Usually there is a bios section that allows fan control. Your MB is top shelf compared to the two Asrock models I have.

This is the download page for your motherboard: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170%20Pro4/index.us.asp?cat=Download&os=Win1064

Download the utility named: "ASRock A-Tuning utility ver:3.0.13"

A-Tuning is AsRock's software for checking temperatures, controlling fans, and much much more. Its an okay piece of software, but I prefer SpeedFan. I would use A-Tuning for now and look into SpeedFan later. Its got a lengthy process for configuring everything as you would like it, and its a very advanced and capable program in that regard. It just has a bit of a learning curve to it. A-Tuning really isn't bad though, I used it for months on my AsRock Z97 Extreme6 before I finally sat down and configured SpeedFan.
