Asrock x99 extreme3 slow disk read/write speeds on 970 evo

I have AsRock X99 Extreme3
i7 6850K
128GB RAM ADATA
2xRTX 3090 installed on PCIe Slot 1 and 3
and a Samsung 970 Evo plus

I have a 40 lanes CPU

still, I’m not getting full speed on the nvme, only getting about 400MBps read/write speed

pics URL are below, I haven’t installed any SATA driver either

I’m running Ubuntu 18.04

and using the command rsync to copy-paste files to check the file transfer rate with progress.

Do you have any other PCIe device plug in to the slots? Is the m.2 3.0x4, is the drive full ? Is the drive connect directly to the cpu or through the chipset ?

How do I check whether my nvme is connected directly to the cpu or through the chipset?

Make sure to download and use the Samsung drivers.
I overlooked that and the performance was affected.
Samsung Magician is a nifty tool too.

Is that for Linux?

Yes, my bios are latest as per Asrock website which is v3.70

I would have to check the diagram but as far as I remember, the x99 supports 40 PCIe lanes directly to the cpu

The thing I’m not able to understand yet is, having Asrock’s latest bios still showing me Ultra M.2 = Not detected, I have attached a pic for it too

Yes, I have 2xRTX 3090 installed on 2 PCIe 3.0x16 slots

So out of 40 lanes 32 lanes are being occupied by the GPUs, still I have 8 lanes left.

Bump

Helloowwww?

Anyone here?
