Asrock X370 Fatal1ty K4 - is the latest BIOS safe?

Finishing up my son’s new PC, using the Asrock X370 Fatal1ty K4 board with a Ryzen 5 1600X. The latest BIOS version is 4.50, released on 01/16/18. I’d heard there were issues with the latest AGESA versions, and wanted to check with you guys and see which BIOS version was the best/most stable/least buggy.

The 4.50 version says it’s prepping for the next gen processors. He’s planning on upgrading to the 2nd gen Ryzen 7 sometime later this year, but it’ll be a while, so I’m thinking one of the previous versions would be fine, if they were more stable.

I am on said version (upgraded to 3.5 first) on that exact mainboard, has been smooth sailing. OC works, fan controll works. No issues to speak off.

Have not touched memory settings as my CPU did not like higher than 2600MHz from the beginning.
