AsRock Romed8-2T Not reading Dimm D and H

So I just put together my build using this board and a 7713 cpu with 512 NEMIX ram ( SK Hynxix 3200 64gb 2rx4). Board boots, but I get a message that dimm h1 and d1 have failed memory test. I have rotated all sticks of ram and they all work in other slots. In the Bios under sensors Im getting tempature readings for those dimms, but BIOS shows dimm h and d empty and only coutns 384gb of ram.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried reseating the CPU? The problem as described indicate the CPU isn’t properly torqued down.

Thx for the suggestion. While reseating the CPU I noticed a little piece of lint or something stuck in the socket. How it got in there in the 5ish secs the cover was off when inserting the CPU is beyond me. After carefully blowing it out with some duster and putting everything back together it is up and ruining fine.

To quote @wendell This thing is an absolute fire breathing monster of a machine.

FWIW I’ve got almost exactly the same symptom on ROMED8-2T with 8x SK Hynix 64GB DDR4-3200 (except my CPU is a 7642, and my problematic slots are C and G). After blowing out the contact area and reseating the CPU, G has been resolved … but C still persists.

Interestingly, since missing those two DIMMs isn’t a supported configuration, removing them makes the system refuse to boot (with a very early ‘no more memory’ error). But if I leave them installed, the system boots fine … except for the memory being unavailable.
