I just finished basic bench assembly of ROMED8-2T with 7302P. All is well, no codes on Dr.Debug but I have no Video Output from on-board VGA Out. I don’t have another video card to mount in PCI and check.
Since my monitor Dell U3223QE don’t have VGA port, I am using a VGA to HDMI converter from the ROMED8-2T and a HDMI cable to my monitor.
I logged in to IPMI and could see the processor and all 8 RAM modules installed and NVME drive. So System seems running ok I guess but could not get into Bios Using Monitor VGA Out.
Any one know how to solve this issue? where am I making mistake?
I already selected onboard graphics adaptor. Still no output.
To properly test this, do you have another computer that has a VGA out where you can ensure that your converter hardware is working. Adding all of that other stuff into the mix (converter and extra HDMI cable) creates other points of failure; so I would rule out the conversion gear before you conclude that there could be an issue with the VGA out itself.
Thank you for the suggestion. Some one else on another forum pointed out, I may need to power-up the VGA-HDMI converter adapter and I did the same and video started working. The adapter was having a tiny micro usb port which needed power to function and I missed that fact in hurry. All is good now.
