Asrock C2550D4I ssd raid

I have a Windows Server 2012 machine on an Asrock C2550D4I with Raid 1 SSD Raid on it’s 9230 controller.

Currently, it seems that the OS does not see the raid as SSD and doesn’t allow trim. I was under the impression that this controller passed that info through to the os, especially as I can see in the marvel utility that the physical drives are SSDs. See attached image for firmware and what not.

Is there a solution to this? My drive performance has gone down the tubes.

I would suggest that since you’re using an Intel CPU anyway try monitoring it through IRST. Of course you will want to back up everything before you try it but I did have a similar problem with my LSI/INTEL configuration. I’m currently running 3 different RAID configurations on the same PC. Yee ha!

IRST is saying the platform is not supported, regardless of the version I get from the lntel site.

I hate it when that happens. It took a whole lot of digging before I could find one that worked properly on my X99 board. Sorry I couldn’t help.
