ASRock C236 WSI - No Graphics

I've recently tried putting together a home NAS

I put the system together it consists of a ASRock C236 WSI motherboard and an Xeon E3-1230V5.

As the CPU doesn't have Integrated Graphics I picked up a cheap Asus Geforce GT 710. I'm getting nothing video wise at boot the CPU fan and hard drives all spin up and stay on just zero display output.

I've tried moving the ram sticks to different slots and running with only one stick still no joy.

The ram is Kingston KTH-PL421/8G.

I've tried putting the graphics card into my main rig and it works. I'm a little stuck with next steps on debugging this issue I don't have any other Skylake motherboards to check the RAM or CPU are working outside of the system

Any ideas would be great.

Have you tried giving it a few minutes? Some servers I worked with took ten minutes to even show a splash screen.
Then you could try updating the bios. Asrocks site states it is supported since any BIOS, but I doubt that.

Leaving it running now for a while see if we get any output at all. not sure how I'd update the BIOS all i've seen on the ASRock website is using the BIOS flash utility or via windows

I've resolved this issue, It was down to the RAM being incompatible with the motherboard. Needed unbuffered ECC RAM not registered ECC RAM. posting this just incase anyone runs into similar problems.
