Hey guys, just wondering if this motherboard will work with this cpu as the mobo was out before the refresh?
Will it just require a bios update? if so can I do a bios update without actually having a cpu in it?

It should work alright, It would be better with a xeon chip as it is a business class board. The Xeon will be a better chip without overclocking. If you have the CPU already, It should be okay, but be aware that the Asrock boards are not as beefy for overclocking as the Asus boards and this particular board has (if I am looking at the right specs) has a very weak powerphase.
so do i have to install bios update, and if so how?
It works right out of the box, you don’t even need to update the BIOS.
But keep in mind, the 4460 is getting old, i’d recommend a chinese Xeon as well.
