Hey Teks!,
I have run in a little problem here. Because I want to upgrade my CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 3.4Ghz to a AMD Black Edition 3.4 Ghz FX-8320. But is my ASrock motherboard (ASrock 970 Extreme3) able to have this CPU installed? Or shall I switch to a $100 ASrock 990FX Extreme3? I really can't find the difference between those MOBO's. Only that the 990FX is $40 more expensive. Is it worth it?
Please help me!
Yes you can install the fx 8320 on the 970. At the moment its not worth the upgrade, but if you have $40 floating around, make the purchase.
Provided that you update the bios to a version that can handle the FX chip you'll be fine.
If you require any of the features of the 990FX get it or , as downing said, if you have $40 lying around
Does something excist like bottleneck with CPU & MOBO? The same a the CPU & GPU Bottleneck?
