Well DayZ standalone will be kind of a mix, more like arma 2.5 engine.

Have they atleast release a screenshot? Havent kept up. Was going to start playing dayz but then they announced the standalone so its just a waiting game for me now.

I actually can't wait to play regular ARMA 3. I thought it was actually pretty fun even though I only even bought it for Day Z. Only thing is I never really had many friends to play with because I have noone on steam besides people from my school and a kid I actually met on there.
I've been playing since ArmA1 it's all the same engine since Operation Flashpoint. It just gets better and better with each iteration. There is a lot crossover from VBS the military combat simulator used by many of the worlds. I know the USMC uses it along with the British MoD.
I Hate Day-Z, Before Day-Z came out i would have Nighly Epic Battles With A Bunch Of Friends And When it came out they All started playing that, its now been over 3 months since ive even gotton to play with them at all.
