Are Razer products worth the money?

I see a lot of people complain about there products but at the same time adore there products. Is Razer worth the money?

My Adaro stereos were and are!

Depends what exactly. I find most "gaming" stuff is just marketing and visuals, and has little improvement over decent regular stuff. Gaming headsets I find an absolute waste of money, I have yet to hear one that doesn't sound muddy and bass-heavy compared to regular headphones in their price range.

In short: I think it's better to invest in good regular gear than gaming marketed stuff, as I feel they give you better value for money.

HyperX Cloud 1 and 2 are decent

The razer deathadder was the best mouse I ever had. Until it broke after 6 months. If I had more money then it would have been worth and I would just buy another one but being on a budget I can't really afford to buy a product that I will probably have to replace within a year again. But it was a really good mouse.

Razer makes decent gear. I've had Razer products, Corsair products, and many others. I've had Razer gear go out on me after a few months and they got replaced as per their warranty. But I've gotten lemons from other vendors as well. It's hard to tell unless you've tried them. Right now I own Chroma Keyboard, but prefer the Corsair K70RGB red switches. (I prefer cherry switches instead of Kailh) and I have a Razer DeathAdder chroma but I prefer the Logitech 303. I do like their mousepads though. I have the control version.

I own a Razer Deathadder 2013 edition and I love it. I also have a hard mat from them that's very nice, so Razer gets an A in my book.

I like thier stuff. What I don't like is most of it is green. Although that is changing slowly.

I have a Razer Deathadder 3.5G and I would probably just buy a new one if I ever broke it and I have had it since it came out in 2006!

I have the death adder 2013, it has served me well.

No.

They fail quite quickly and easily and razer refuses to honor the warranty.

Razer is slightly overpriced for their quality compared to the likes of Logitech. For mice sometimes shape and button layout may play higher priority depending on preferences. That being said, I've never heard of the entire side of a Logitech peeling off. For keyboards Corsair/Ducky are better bang for the buck in the long run. For headphones you'll get a whole bit dump of info.

i have deathadder black edition
ive been using it for almost 3 years and it is still going strong but the razer synapse(driver) is really shitty though.

im gonna switch to zowie ec2-a if it breaks.

I'm using a DeathAdder 2013, easily the best mouse I've ever used.

not really slightly overpriced stuff but still good. I am currently using a Razer Deathadder Chroma and it feels kinda expensive when I used to own a SteelSeries Kinzu. Cheap Construction but dam it felt good to move around. With the Chroma it got for me.

They are surfing on the brand name. The first razer product I owned was well build and worth the asking price. The new stuff is still very precise but has a much cheaper build quality to it. If I can't really tell the difference between the build quality of a generic Chinese mr.mouse and the death adder chroma. Then there is little point in paying premium for having their logo on it. Even if it does change colours.

I had no problems with getting a new daethadder chroma when mine started double clicking. I was just given a new one and told to come back if problems persisted. I bought mine at a brick and mortar shop and the fact that Razers return policy basically states to just replace faulty parts leads me to suspect that Razer are fully aware that their quality has dropped.

They're keyboards are good and their mice are overpriced and I've heard somewhat mixed things about them. Some people complained about the quality of their mice but others jump in quickly every time to say they've improved. I'd personally avoid their mice just to air on the side of caution, especially when there are so many other good mice options. Their headphones have some of the most unbalanced audio of all time, with them being very base heavy. I'd grab a pair of more audiophile targeted headphones for the price you'd pay for Razer Headphones. Something like the Senheiser 558's and then a cheapo sony clip mic.

no.
