HAHAHAHA.. right Im totes insane but that would be just so fricken epic on a whole new level.. I am VERY jealous of Skunkworks over at Jayz two cents' channel right now :P
@Giulianno_D For the matrix I need someone to procure a server room with thousands upon tens of thousands of Xeon PHI Compute Servers.. and a very large Peta byte sized (minimum) Storage Area Network for the program LOLs... :D
what a terrible ssd choice you made I would use your m.2 slot with a 1x Plextor PX-G512M6E and a second m.2 drive using a pci-e 2x2 with 1x Plextor PX-AG512M6E Sata 3 (6gb) is a bottle neck if your dreaming a machine you will never get at least don't bottle neck yourself
You do realise that when you raid, your not limited by the speed of the sata ports but the speed of the maximum bandwidth through its designated pcie lanes. Im running 2x 250GB 850 EVO's and they have a read write speed of 1,080MB/s. random read sitting at just under 60MB/s which is much higher than a single SSD. M.2 is definatly worth a look into but dont rule out sata SSD's
I would recomend the 850 EVO's btw. While the pro's have better longevity and speed, The 850's do have the bonus of a cashe which is faster than the 850 Pro's and unless with dual 512GB SSD your going to copy 12GB's of data at 1GB/s, your not going to see the performance dip bellow dual 850 Pro's. With the 250GB SSD's, I do see a dip but considering 610MB/s is still better than 550MB/s on a single 512GB SSD, Im fine with that.
Yeah.. I have the 840 EVOs in my system currently.. (not the dream system above but my current WHICH i have not updated in my profile.. FAIL) ahah they are very nice.. I do not know why more people do not use them.. Like all I see TS doing is recommending the Kingstons up until recently... when the EVOs are similarly priced
There were issues with slowdowns and firmware updates on the EVOs, that's pretty much why they stopped being recommended. People still buynthem.plenty but not so much talked about.
@R00tz31820 Just wait for JayzTwoCents video on how he put three Titan Xs in Skunkworks. That's pretty much the system you are dreaming of. It should be out within the next couple of weeks. He just waiting for Nvidia to ship him another two Titans.
Has anyone actually trolled a mod and a person by flagging a removed post? I do know it redisplays what was written to the world if you flag it :D haha
That was just me. I had not read that you already mentioned Skunkworks and when I saw it I removed my post. Didn't know that you can't just delete something you wrote.
You can.. it makes it invisble.. but if it gets flagged.. BOOM SHAKALAKA ITS BACK BITCHES>> MUHAHAHAHAHA okay yeah that was uncalled for but thats what happens
