Apu?

Hello Logan, Wendel, and everyone else who is viewing the thread. I have been looking at low budget builds for gaming, and I found some builds that beat the counter part APU builds for $380 - 430, and you can even upgrade it to a higher level. So why is everyone so happy to see the APU when you can get a better build for the same price?

Because the tek is paid off by AMD obviously.

Next time, try http://pcpartpicker.com

Also those builds have some issues with them that allowed you to get the low price.

1) Gonna have a hard time keeping that rig cool with no fans.

2) Cheap PSUs are RARELY a good idea... could do better for alittle more

Lastly, are you talking general builds or gaming builds? I don't need a very strong GPU if im doing office work..

A strong yes for gaming, but I power my gaming rig off of that PSU. Which reminds me... I got to upgrade my rights.

Rig will stay cool because I own a 10 year old tower. Want some prime 95 test with AMD Phenom II x6 1045t, and my really old tower?

That case does not come with any fans... No intake, no exhaust. Not sure what point you're trying to make bringing your different build into the mix, I'm going off of what you linked.

As for the PSU, I don't get any power supplies that are not 80 plus bronze. I've had too many failed PSUs to skimp on them. Logan has also said to never skimp on the PSU several times

But... OP is using AMD in his builds...

P.S. Fucking love corgis

I look at reviews, and price. My point is mine had no intake or exhaust, not even vents on the side panal.

That is my old tower from 2003. ^^

It was a play off an old thing where people were saying they were being paid by AMD to say that a processor was better than an intel one at gaming.
