APU A4-5300 ran Battlefield 3

Ok, hello there guys, I'm glad to be part of the tek family.

I'm from Mexico and this is my first post but let me tell you a background of this build.

This PC was made for my mom, she requested something cheap where she could watch her movies and burn tons of DVD's (she loves that).

Logan always recommends APUs when on a tight budget so we went that way, it was our first time working with APUs

My girl built it and I configured it, but , I had a feeling, I wanted to see if this PC would run battlefield 3, I HAD TO, so far here are the components:

MOTHERBOARD GA-F2A55M-HD2 SOCKET FM2 Gigabyte

A4-5300 TRINITY 3.4GHZ FM2

DDR3 4GB 1333MHZ Corsair

525W EXTREME CoolerMaster

SATA3 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Seagate

DVD RW 24X SATA 24X LG

After some moments of tweaking and configuring the system I gave it a try, it ran Battlefield 3.

Ok, all the settings were WAY down.

But I mean, its one of the cheapest APUs around, with ram that wasn't meant to be used this way.

For the uneducated eye this thing looks QUITE good, so this build could be GREAT for your kids or for you if you pair it with a discrete GPU

We made a video to show you how the game looks, its in spanish but I added English close captions:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKn3AwNstq4

Question is: how can I improve this? are there more really tight budget builds configured like this?

I'm actually really surprised that it did that well. I'm also surprised that I actually understood some Spanish after growing up with a partly Spanish speaking family after 16 years lol (;

As far as improving it, You could throw a better APU in there, or faster RAM if you can't overclock the RAM you already have.
