Updated version. How does this look, all suggestions/opinions/ideas welcome! http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/H3kX7P
If it looks good to go, please tell me any I will begin to buy the components. Also is an Ssd required for gaming? I'm already over my budges, will it affect anything if I don't get one?
DX12, 6 cores is apparently the sweet spot.
i5-4460 is the same as a 2500k @3.7, Not something you want to be stuck with for 4 years, Fine for a couple if you don't mind lowering settings.
DX12 games wont be here for a while yet anyway I guess.
SSD is only needed for terrible hack job ports.
No not realy http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/test-of-cpu-for-gaming-30-cpus-compared.200132/
Hm ok, I'm gonna stick with the i5 anyway, it's powerfull enough for the time being. Thx for suggestion and Ssd info anyways :)
Apparently 2GB VCards are a risky option to take, I'm torn between the R9 Radeon 380 2GB AND Sapphire R9 Radeon 280X 4GB
The 280x dosent come in 4gb (3gb and 6gb vershons) a 2gb frame buffer is fine for 1080p you can get a 4gb vershon of the R9 380
The top build ~ i5 is perfect for your needs OP. Maybe just add a SSD if you want later on and migrate the OS.
The stock intel cooler is only ever an issue when peeps decide to overclock the 'k' version of the i5/i7's cpu's. For vanilla cpu's it performs just fine.
Since I'm already well over my 'budget' of 500 I'm gonna stick with the R9 380 2Gb and upgrade it at a later date if need be. Thanks for your input anyways.
Cool, I may well add an Ssd at a later date but for now I'm not going to. Since I don't have the 'k' Intel version and the stock cooler seems fine I'll just stick with that then. Thanks for the info :D
Does the Motherboard look ok for they money, could I possibly cut any cash for a different reasonable board, I don't really mind it would just be useful to have additional money for some extra appliances I'm intending to buy :)
Could I use a cheaper MicroAtx motherboard like this one http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-b85mg43
The price on my current seems excessive and just keeps rising...?
??? How is the motherboard in the post above?
