This might be the wrong forum but I could not find one specific.

My father recently passed away and his GF, sister, and my self all want to rip his 1200+ song music collection on to different formats. The music is stored on an iphone 6. What is the best way to do this considering his music came from CDs (we don't have,) free downloads, and from the iTunes store.

My condolences mate for your loss.
I've used SharePod in the past for such things to copy the material to another drive, from there you can use something like Foobar to convert to various formats.
