Does anyone know if the AX370 K7 supports PCIe bifurcation? I’d really like to get one of the Aorus AIC adaptors and use it in the x8 slot for an extra 2 SSDs but I don’t know if the board actually supports running that slot in an x4x4 mode. I can’t find a setting for it in the UEFI but I know sometimes boards auto-detect whether bifurcation is needed.
The manual lacks any mention, but could have been patched in later bios version
I’m running the latest UEFI version but as I noted there’s no setting for it, my only real hope was if someone had experience with it auto-detecting it, looks like I unfortunately might not be able to cram 4 SSDs into this MB
If you’re really married to that motherboard and will only accept full-bandwidth PCIe 3.0 x4 to each of the 2 SSDs you wish to add, you could always go with an ASM2824-based card such as this one.
