Anything wrong with my $1100 pick?

So i've been in need of a new pc for quite a while now, have an outdated 4670 with 4GB of DDR2 800Mhz memory and i'd really like to upgrade to something that can last me some time

I'll be using this almost completely gaming, bit of web browsing, sometimes recording throughout so i will be buying more RAM in due course.

What i've put together:

Motherboard: MSI 990FXA-GD65 ATX AM3+ for $145

CPU: AMD FX-8320 for $185

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 8GB 1 stick $75

PSU: Zalman 600 watt 80 plus certified for $80

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB for $75

Case: Thermaltake A31 for $100

GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX670 for $360

PCpartpicker: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1o4Ex

I already have a few things like the RAM and the hard drive, and will update to a 256GB samsung 840 series in a little while. My reasoning with the 600 series card is that all 700 series cards in Australia cost an obscene amount.

The AMD CPU is because more cores are starting to be taken advantage of and i'd very much like to take advantage of this, while i do know that intel is more performance per core. Getting the 8320 instead of the 8350 dropped the price about $40 which is my reasoning to that.

A 3rd party cooler for that cooler will be off a friend, the trusty hyper 212 evo.

I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and gamepad so those are all fine. I will be buying most of this from Mwave.com with the exception of the graphics card wich will be from scorptec.

*Edited topic with new choices*

Looks good although it might be worth looking at what the competition has to offer with AMD's 8350 and their 7870.

120Hz monitors are pretty darn expensive and in my opinion not worth the extra cash.

agree with hopperbus, you should take a look at amd's fx 8350,i have that and it is freakin fast, faster than i5 and very close to i7-3770k,you should also look at amd 7870xt tahiti core by sapphire, its better than 7870,you can overclock and get closer to 7950 performance...take a look at it,and you can also take a look at asus boards, they have better boards especially if you want to overclock because of their digi-vrm whatsoever its called..i suggest going with sabertooth-990fx r.2

So i've had a look at what you suggested, and i'm deadset on going with the FX8350 but i'm thinking about going with a 7850, they seem extremely close to the 7870s and are about $50 cheaper. Since i've chosen a few new parts and included an operating system (you can see what may be the final system at http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1eGou) it is coming out to around $1300 if i buy it all from Mwave, which is just a teeny weeny bit over budget (massive sarcasm) but i only have to work for about 130 hours straight.

1 stick of ram? Don't do that. Get 2 x 4gb sticks, cheaper and better...

Other then that, your build is great.

True, but i have already bought the RAM after much deliberation but i decided that if i ever feel the need to go to the insane 32GB, i have the capability but with the 4GB sticks i can only reach 16GB

Notice that that 7850 is not included in your partpicker price list. so you would went over 800 dollars there.

Yes, i planned before on going for the whole thing at $800, but i decided that going the extra $200 was well worth it in the long run

buying a 120Hz monitor is not recommended since your eyes can't see more than 60fps

well if you can spend  200 more on the price of your last build  thats 230 dollars more, i would say try to save some 20 bucks more, and go for a GTX760 GPU, its realy worth it. EVGA or msi. that gpu for arround $250 cannot be beaten at the moment.

Updated the topic, thought it would be kind of useless making a new one.

Can anybody throw me some input? Just hoping there are no real mistakes here

Why you wanne go with a much more expensive GTX670 gpu ?

For that money you can get a decent GTX770 or Radeon 7950/7970.

Here in Australia at least what i can find, that 670 is the cheapest i can possibly get for the best performance, the 770 is atleast another $100

I think i am getting the best one over here, that link you listed shows the board for a solid $220, the board has USB3.0 headers and i don't plan to use many other PCI-e cards so this board for $140 is a very solid deal

Get an asus motherboard and its an 1100 dollar build you can fit a 7970 in there and I'd wait for the 900 series, the 9970 is supposed to be way faster then a Titan.

For the record, just remember that if i were to build my computer in the USA it would cost around $300 less

Oh so you're outside of the us

Actually the eye can only see 30FPS. But it's a well known fact that games feel smoother beyond that.

That's Australia for you. We get shafted on electronics across the board.
