Anyone here that has updated their Asus Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE bios to the latest version (0502 / 2024/07/19)?
I am curious about how stable it is and what’s new, but the changelog don’t say much.
If Anyone has upgraded, could you tell me if it contains a new AGESA version? Does it improve the (in my opinion bad default values for memory training) so there’s less of 0D error codes?
I am probably going to update mine eventually, but I don’t feel like having to tune my memory overclock again, especially if the experience is just as bad as the 0404 bios.
AGESA went from StormPeakPI 1.1.0.0b RC2 to StormPeakPI 1.1.0.0b so not the biggest change there (I believe Asrocks bios is using stormPeakPI 1.1.0.0d or newer)
I still have the same stupid problems as before the upgrade.
still getting 0D errors if I don’t configure my memorytimings manually. (got it a few times during restart when updating bios)
if I do a PSU power cycle I still have to wait probably 10-20 seconds before turning on my computer if I don’t, it won’t always detect/init the NIC on the motherboard and keyboard and mouse trough KVM.
Not getting 0D errors but mostly 00 on reboots which pops up a lot on Windows but not on Linux (Fedora or Garuda) so I guess its more of an OS issue for me
Fwiw alot of the weird boot issues I had on this board was due to a bad fan breakout board that came with my fractal case. Might be worthwhile to check your cabling and whats attached.
Strange… SP5 Cpu’s are not mentioned which means 7000 pro wx cpu’s are not affected, but nearly every other CPU they make are affected. Or have I missed something crucial
i might be wrong but i thought of the 7000 pro and non-pro as the one and same series.
They use the same socket, code name, package, and AGESA as far as i can tell, so my initial reaction was this post is for both pro and non-pro.
