I'm trying to choose a Linux distro, and whether steam works on it or not is a large factor. I can't seem to find any information about installing steam on peppermint.
is it based on debian. if so you're prolly good. if your unsure dl put in a vm boot to live cd and download steam. Give elementary os a try it's a very fast os.
It is a reskinned Lubuntu so yes, It will.
