Anyone Having Trouble with 700 series card/ Win 8.1,

...and driver version 352.86?

I have a Nvidia 780ti, running on windows 8.1 with drivers 352.86.

Starting 2 days ago, I kept getting crashes on The Witcher 3, since that's all I have been playing lately. After the crash, two things would happen, either the game will not start up, or the game will run but at a choppy 35fps and below, as when it was normal, I'd run it at 65-80fps.

A restart or reinstall of the drivers would temporarily fix it, but it would come back. Now, it affects other programs like the Heaven benchmark. Can't even finish without crashing.

I dual boot so when I ran 3D mark, Heaven and Valley all on Windows 7 and the previous version of the drivers, 350.12, everything ran solid as a rock.

Anyone else having trouble with these drivers on a 700 series card?

I've not had any issues with my 780 and I'm actually on Windows 10 right now. Was running 8.1 for a long time as well though. I know that the 'GTA V Ready' drivers (350.12) was actually a flop and decreased performance on a lot of cards, so I just reverted back to 347.88 and everything has been smooth sailing. I would try the same and see if it doesn't help. Also snag RealTemp and check out your temps, just to rule out all possible causes.

I actually reverted to the 350.12 driver and everything is smooth as butter. Man, 352.86 was giving me hell! How can Nvidia screw up this bad?

I asked myself the same thing with the 350.12 drivers, looks like they've done it again.
