Anyone on XP or 7 going to now change to 8.1?
Nope
i'm downloading the preview right now, and i have low expectations
I actually like windows 8 a lot, I've had no issues what-so-ever. So, yes, I am looking forward to it.
I already like windows 8, but I guess I am not really that excited for 8.1. The updates and added start button will be nice though.
Seems its not really a start button.

I have no intention to change from Win 7. And yes, I have taken a careful look at details about Win 8.1 before making my decision.
the PREVIEW requires a windows 8.1 product key
....really microsoft? i'm getting tired of your shit
you funny ill licence you last
I don't really care at this point. Windows 8 is slightly faster than 7, but you also get a crappy gui that no one asked for. 8.1 is just going to add a start button imposter that just brings you to the metro screen, and I think they're adding an option to boot straight to desktop. I just don't see the point in upgrading from 7. I don't want to spend $100 on an OS that Microsoft apparently doesn't feel like fixing just to get a minimal performance gain.
No, not really. I have Windows 7, and it does everything I need it to do. I don't see any need to spend $100 for a downgrade. And in order for me to get Win8 to work the way I want it to, I would need to spend an additional $3 on startisback.
well thats a bummer. maybe i will just buy start is back or something then.
No.
After a recent Win7 crash on my ThinkPad, thanks for spilling some water over it's keyboard dear cat, I installed Windows 8.
Everything about this thing is annoying. The Layout, the lack of the Start-Button, simply everything.
And I highly doubt MS is able to fix this with that single update. This OS has way more problems than just the layout, the lack of the start-button or the direct-to-desktop boot.
Win8 and every derivate are a no-go for me.
