Hello there! I’m currently rocking an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with the Radeon 890M on a framework 13 mainboard in a cyberdeck build I did (probably gonna post about that next, so keep an eye out for that). I know I can set the VRAM allocation in the bios, and have set it to 16GB. This makes my system noticeably more stable and snappy when using multiple hi res monitors. But I did see the option to set it to be controlled by AMD Software.
I know Linux does some unified memory magic on its own, but I didn’t really see anyway to control that. Really what I’m looking for is a way to maybe set a minimum allocation value in Linux itself, or if there’s like a value for how aggressive it allocates VRAM, kinda like swappines, but for ram/vram. Is there a thing for that? I’m ok just keeping that set up in the BIOS but if there was a way to do it better from the OS I’d like to explore that.
