So I have domain name via GoDaddy, I don't know why i used GoDaddy probably because it's what my friend uses and it was a good deal. Anyways i have a Domain that expires in around a years time. i do i go about renewing with another company WITHOUT letting someone else snatch it up?
Also what companies should one go with since GoDaddy is bad?
domain.com isn't bad in my experiences but haven't looked into anything in a while just know to stay away from GoDaddy
GoDaddy has a page in their help section that will help you through the proper steps. Basically you can follow the instructions without too much worry because they give a 5 day window to back out of the domain transfer, however if you don't respond they do it always (which probably is for the better.) I'll be leaving them come December when my domain is up for renewal.
now the question is who to switch to. about the only i have in mind is host gator only because it's the only suggestion i've heard of.
