Any one on the forum running x2 780TIs on a 750w PSU thats gold rated?

Kinda wondering if two none overclocked Evga classified 780ti & i7 2600k on all stock clocks and 3 SSDs and usb perfs. It would be run under gaming and streaming load only. The info that I saw was that in a high gpu gaming load they only draw around 650w would this setup be safe till I buy a 1300w psu a few months from now?

A little more info PSU is a 750W Corsair HX and 16 GB 1600mz of ram and a capture card.

1300w is UN-BLOODY Necessary. you can definitely get away with a 750w PSU.

Well the 1300w system will be a bit different the cards + a quadro will be in the system on x99 6 core overclocked with a ton of HDDs and 10GB nic so for this system, I agree 1300w is un-bloody necessary but for that system I will need a bit more power.

yeah for a workstation/gaming rig, a system with 2 cards and a workstation card, a 1000+ watt PSU would be reasonable.

Ohh I don't know, that 10 Gbps nic is gonna be using a lot of power...

2 780ti's, a quadro and a 6-core will use alot of power. don't you think a 1000w is reasonable? if he were to upgrade to two 980s then an he would be able to get away with a 750w or 850w.

1200w, at least. XFX makes a good 1250w platinum psu for a decent price.

I was joking but yeah 1000w would be fine. If he were to use all 3 cards at once some then he would need the 1300w but that's not possible/ going to happen so 1000w would be fine. And for the 2 980's I would lean more towards the the 850w one coz of all his other components.

For the workstation I was looking at the 1300w Evga supernova since it is very highly rated and just for a safe buffer with all the stuff in the system.
