I have been able to change all my other computers over to Linux, but I haven’t yet tried my Alienware laptop yet. I use it for work so I’m afraid to mess with it. I have been running Windows 10 on it, but with support ending in a few months I have accepted I either need to take a chance and go to Linux, or go to Windows 11 (Which I refuse to do).
It’s an Alienware M15 R3, it has a 10980HK and a 2080 Super Max-Q.

Its a subsidiary of Dell and if I’m going to bet they use the same software engineers as so it will probably work.
You can always use a live USB to test.

I second trying the live USB before doing an install. The only thing I see you having a minor issue with is the nvidia drivers, just remember to verify that they are setup. If I recall correctly when I setup my Desktop I had to enable the drivers (I use Fedora).

Yes, Linux runs well on Alienware laptops, though you may need tweaks for GPU, Wi-Fi, or power management.
It’s a work laptop. Don’t do it unless you have express permission, in writing to do so!
Good way to get fired!

Thankfully I’m self employed, so I’ll write myself a note!
